Tá an leibhéal seo oiriúnach do dhaoine a rinne staidéar ar an nGaeilge ar scoil, roinnt mhaith blianta ó shin, b’fhéidir, a thuigeann go leor den teanga ach a bhfuil deacrachtaí acu á gcur féin in iúl de cheal cleachtaidh le tamall anuas. Tá sé oiriúnach freisin dóibh siúd a d’fhreastail ar Leibhéal 2 (Bunrang 2) i rith na bliana anuraidh. Déanfar athbhreithniú ar ghnéithe bunúsacha den teanga ag tús an chúrsa agus déanfar an ghramadach a mhúineadh i gcomhthéacs, de réir mar a bheidh gá léi. Beidh deis ag foghlamaitheoirí ag an leibhéal seo tabhairt faoi Teastas Eorpach na Gaeilge (TEG) ag leibhéal B1, feic www.teg.ie. Moltar duit Triail Socrúcháin Teanga Bhord na Gaeilge a dhéanmh ar line sula gcláraíonn tú d’aon cúrsa teanga: http://www.ranganna.com/tastail.aspx?id=2&lang=en. Tá ábhar teagaisc Bhord na Gaeilge UCD bunaithe ar an bhFráma Tagartha Comónta Eorpach do Theangacha. Baintear úsáid as an gcur chuige cumarsáideach sna ranganna uilig.
This level is suitable for those who have studied Irish at school, perhaps many years ago, who understand a great deal of the language but have had few opportunities to use it in recent years. It is also suitable for those who attended the Level 2 (Elementary) level during the last academic year. Some basic language will be taught initially but the class will then progress at a faster pace than either of the lower level classes. The emphasis will be on developing speaking and listening skills but students will also have some opportunities to read and to write the language as well. Grammar will be taught in context, as it is required.
Learners at this level will have the opportunity to prepare for the European Certificate in Irish ( TEG) at level B1, see www.teg.ie.
We advise you to complete the Bord na Gaeilge Online Placement Test before registering for a course: http://www.ranganna.com/tastail.aspx?id=2&lang=en.
All Bord na Gaeilge UCD teaching materials are based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) guidelines.
The communicative approach is used in all classes.
