FS20060 - Transformations in European Cinema (Audit)* - 2017

This module will introduce students to some of the major movements in postwar European cinema; Italian neorealism of the 1940s and 1950s, the French new wave of the 1960s and the new German cinema of the 1970s. In addition the module will address key issues and concepts in European cinema such as realism, authorship, art cinema and political modernism, with reference to significant films and filmmakers and in the context of historical, social and cultural issues.

Upgrading from audit to credit:  You may upgrade from being an audit student to a credit student up to three weeks into term.
