Ad Astra, “To the Stars”, is UCD’s motto and symbolises the University’s quest for excellence. Established in 2011, our vision for the UCD Ad Astra Academy is to develop a world-class scholarship programme that offers exceptional students in Ireland transformative opportunities to develop their potential.
Through the Academy, UCD attracts the most talented students – the brightest academically, world class athletes and students with outstanding performing arts and musical talent.
By giving them the bespoke, structured support of an Academy, these students are encouraged to excel and expand their capabilities, enabling them to make their dreams and aspirations a reality.
