A Choral Celebration of Christmas - Tues 19 Dec
Tuesday , 19 December 2017 - 20:00
A limited number of tickets have become available for the concerts on Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 December - Book Online here.
Once again the wonderful UCD Choral Scholars will perform their 'Choral Celebration of Christmas' in the University Church on St Stephen's Green, Dublin.
This December guest conductor Mark Armstrong will direct the choir in three festive performances featuring choral favourites by composers ranging from Britten to Rutter to Lauridsen, in addition to the world premiere of a new work by Colin Mawby, commissioned by the Choral Scholars with support from The Arts Council. We are delighted to welcome guest artists Tristan Russcher on piano, Michael Seaver on clarinet and David Agnew on cor anglais and oboe for this series.
PLEASE NOTE: We regret that, this year, we cannot host a pre-concert reception due to the major redevelopment works underway in Newman House - in partnership with the National Library of Ireland, we expect The Ulysses Centre at Newman House to open in 2019 as a major international literary attraction in UCD’s historic home, dedicated to one of UCD’s most famous alumni, James Joyce, and the writers that followed him. We look forward to welcoming you back in due course to this new focal point for UCD that reclaims the University’s foothold in the heart of the city.
Please note: Tickets are non-transferrable to another date. Refunds given only in exceptional circumstances.
