Prof Edmond Harty - CEO Dairy Master and developer of the 'Moo Monitor+' which monitors cow neck movements 24×7 for heat related activity, rumination, resting, feeding, head position and restlessness.
Prof Ronan Cahill - Professor of Surgery, Mater Misericordiae University Hospital and specialist in Colorectal Surgery, using robotic techniques.
Prof Madeleine Lowery - Professor in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, UCD and leads an interdisciplinary research team in the area of Neuromuscular Systems and Neural Engineering.
Mr Fran Hegarty - Chief Healthcare Technology Officer at New Children's Hospital Dublin
The UCD Engineering Graduates Association are exploring, through unique convergence of diverse inputs, how smart technology can improve healthcare across all sectors of Irish Society. Developments in technology are constantly happening in the areas of agriculture and healthcare - two sectors which have significant impact on all of our lives. Our discussion aims to explore this topic further with contributions from Prof Edmond Harty, Prof Ronan Cahill, Prof Madeleine Lowery and Mr Fran Hegarty.
