English for Academic Purposes - Academic Writing Workshop To develop academic writing style and accuracy. The workshop looks at some commonly encountered difficulties in writing English in an academic context, and how they can be overcome. Participants will spend time working on their writing with the assistance of their peers and the ALC tutor. The workshop is based on short writing exercises, reviewing participant's previous work and advice on improvement. | |

Notes: | Preparation Participants in the workshop should bring a sample of their own writing in an academic context (2-3 pages of an essay, report or other writing they have recently completed) for use in the session. |
