Long Description: | This scholarship, established in memory of James H. Delargy, shall be awarded to a person who must be a graduate of the University. It shall be tenable at a recognised Scandinavian university and shall be used for the purpose of pursuing a postgraduate course of study in the subject of folklore. For the purpose of awarding a scholarship the following interpretations will apply: 1. ‘A recognised Scandinavian university’ means a recognised university in the Nordic countries including Iceland, the Faeroe Islands, Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland; 2. ‘A postgraduate course of study in the subject of folklore’ may include attendance at a postgraduate folklore seminar for a semester or shorter period. A student may incorporate and prioritise learning a language as part of the programme of study undertaken.
