Long Description:	The Annie Fanning Memorial Award, will be available to a highly qualified applicant for the one-year MA in Anglo-Irish Literature and Drama programme, for academic sessions 2015/16 and 2016/17. The Scholarship is sponsored by the Fanning family in memory of their mother, a graduate of UCD. The scholarship, in the form of a fee remission, will be awarded annually to a highly ranked applicant for the MA in Anglo-Irish Literature and Drama for academic sessions 2015/16 and 2016/17. The award will be made on the basis of an application process. To be eligible for application, candidates must have applied and received an offer or provisional offer of acceptance for the MA in Anglo Irish Literature and Drama programme for the following academic session by no later than 31 May in the year of entry. The application for the award must include: • a personal statement (1-2 pages) • a sample of written work (no more than 5,000 words) For 2015/2016 – the school invites applications to be submitted via email to Professor Margaret Kelleher at Margaret.O.Kelleher@ucd.ie. The closing deadline for receipt of complete applications is by no later than 5 June 2015. The ranking of applicants for the programme will be carried out by the School Scholarship Committee on the basis of the academic qualifications of applicants for the Programme. The School will recommend only one scholarship per candidate. The scholarship is intended for the session immediately following the award, is tenable for one year, and will be payable for a student who is fully registered to MA in Anglo-Irish Literature and Drama.
