| This prize is named in memory of T. Augustine Martin, Professor of Anglo-Irish Literature and Drama at UCD from 1979 to 1995. It was raised by Bright Boy Productions at an event held in Newman House in May 1997 to which a large team of people generously contributed their energies and talents. To this sum was added a substantial amount anonymously contributed by a friend and former student of Professor Martin. It may be awarded annually to the candidate placed highest in the examinations for the MA Degree in Anglo-Irish Literature and Drama, with an award of not less than Second Class Honours. |
