| The Dr Mary Redmond Medal is sponsored by the Irish Hospice Foundation (IHF). Dr Mary Redmond completed her law degrees (BCL and LLM) at UCD and studied at both Cambridge and Oxford universities. She was conferred with a Doctor in Laws (LL.D) by Trinity College in 2014. Dr Mary Redmond was the founder of the Irish Hospice Foundation, a national charity dedicated to all matters relating to dying, death and bereavement in Ireland. The Dr Mary Redmond Medal is presented in recognition of the role that health and social care professionals play in providing psychosocial, spiritual and bereavement care and support to those with life limiting illness and their families. |
