| The medal will be awarded annually to the student with the highest exiting degree GPA in the MSc Project Management Programme. It commemorates the contribution to University College Dublin of Ken Meates, who created and managed the Masters in Project Management up to his retirement. Ken pioneered the teaching of Project Management in the Faculty of Commerce/School of Business and acted as mentor and supervisor to many students on the project management and MBA programmes, imparting knowledge, advice and encouragement through his unique combination of intellectual and personal qualities. In his work and service to UCD, Ken enhanced the knowledge and development of many people, who remember him with fondness and gratitude. |
