Long Description:	The UCD Engineering Graduates Association (EGA) promotes and maintains contact between Engineering graduates and the University. As part of this objective, the EGA awards Gold Medals to students who demonstrate excellence in undergraduate and graduate study and research, in each of the Engineering disciplines. Leading companies in engineering disciplines sponsor the medals. Palliare EGA Gold Medal for Biomedical Engineering: Awarded to the student who achieves first class honours and the highest Grade Point Average (GPA) in the final year of the ME (Biomedical) degree programme.
