Long Description: This medal was endowed by the family of Professor Vincent A. Dodd who retired from the University in 2003, after almost twenty-eight years of highly distinguished and dedicated service to the former Department of Agricultural and Food Engineering and the former Faculty of Engineering and Architecture. Notably, Professor Dodd served as Dean for nine years to September 2001. The medal is to commemorate his contributions to the University, in particular his key supporting role in establishing the degree programme in Biosystems Engineering. This medal is awarded annually to the student who achieves first class honours and the highest Grade Point Average (GPA) in the final year of the ME (Biosystems & Food Engineering) programme
