Digital Business related projects and initiatives are rapidly evolving and today they should be regarded a central resource in the pursuit of successful business objectives and strategies. As a result, the role Digital Business with focus on mobile business need to be re-evaluated to develop a sophisticated understanding of how Digital Business may help today’s organisation to obtain and sustain competitive advantage in the global marketplace. Many organisations have already incorporated innovative Digital Business applications and projects as part of their overall strategy, however, managers are still trying to evaluate how those initiatives may add sustainable value to the organisation.

This applied module addresses above challenges covering the following topics: digital project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and risk management.

Learning Outcomes:

On successful completion of this module, students will be able to

(i) Identify and analyse digital project business opportunities (Project Management Simulation)

(ii) Draft a strategic mobile application-related project implementation plan

(iii) Identify and implement successful strategies for managing virtual global project teams (Global Collaboration Simulation)

(iv) Practice collaboration and strategic decision-making to structure effective project diagnosis and response (IT Management Simulation: Cyber Attack)
