BMGT44300 Creativity, Innovation & Entrepreneurship

Academic Year 2023/2024

Creativity and innovation are essential for the development of successful new ventures, and critical to the survival of existing organizations, especially in competitive contexts. This module is designed to introduce participants to the use of creativity and design thinking in the new venture creation process to help them develop innovative businesses. The material covered will be research and theory based but the module will be practice-oriented, with much of the term spent developing participant-generated new venture ideas that can be launched in the marketplace. Although the focus is on starting new commercial ventures it will also be relevant to starting social enterprises and new lines of business in existing companies (intrapreneurship).
