Most projects are ultimately delivered through effective teamwork. This module is designed to give participants an in-depth understanding of how project teams may be designed and led for optimal performance and sustainability. The start point of module will be you – your personality/self-concept. Building from a position of improved self-awareness key content explored in the module include:
• Team Design
• Team identity, emotion and development
• Team decision making
• Team communications and networking
• Leading the team
• Learning within and across teams
• Multi-team systems
• Managing conflict in teams
• Teamwork across distance and cultures

Learning Outcomes:

On completion of the module and associated assessments you will have:
1. Improved your level of self-awareness with a view to becoming a more reflective and effective project team member and leader.
2. Developed a deep understanding of the key internal and external factors contributing to effective project team performance.
3. Gained the competence to diagnose and intervene into work group/team situations to bring about improved collective and project performance.
4. Assessed and improved your decision making and problem solving competence within a group/team setting.
5. Reflected upon and undertaken steps to improve your communication skills within a group/team environment.
6. Developed an understanding how to effectively manage conflict within a project team environment.
