BMGT43730 Projects & Organisational Dyna

Academic Year 2020/2021

This module focuses on the social, cultural, political and symbolic dimensions of project life. Drawing primarily on the field of Organisational Behaviour the module will explore you as an instrument of change within a project environment, the nature of project team dynamics, the challenges of making effective and ethical decisions in a project setting, learning with a project, the importance of motivation and how it may be improved, and the nature and influence of power, politics and conflict in project life. The module will bring us into the frequently hidden and emotional layer of project life and focus on how you as the project manager can navigate and thrive in this challenging space to ensure project success. This module is presented as a form of counterbalance to the more technical perspectives on project management you will receive on other modules on the programme.
