BMGT44550 Global Operations Simulations

Academic Year 2016/2017

“Competitive dominance will be achieved by the entire supply chain, with battles fought supply chain versus supply chain” (Roger Blackman). As a result, supply chain management has been recognized as a required core competency for most firms today. It entails internal cross-functional integration (collaboration between different functional areas) and external integration (collaboration with other supply chain members).
The aim of this course is to provide an integrative and concluding overview to the field of operations and supply chain management through applying concepts and theory to support supply chain managers in setting up and managing supply chains. Special emphasis will be put on the specific issues arising from competing globally.
Participants performance will be assessed through continuous in-class performance.
