On completion of this module students should be able to:
- Demonstrate their ability to interpret financial information and use it to assess historic and forecast company performance.
- Model the key cashflow items within a business, with a focus on operational and financing cashflows including working capital, debt instruments, tax, depreciation and pensions through Microsoft Excel.
- Understand the capital restructuring process and the options available to businesses.
- Recommend an appropriate restructuring route, understand the implications of a capital restructuring process and how to maximise success.
- Comment on the strategies, opportunities and risks of investing in distressed situations.
