In completing this module (Research Paper 2) each student has the opportunity to research a topic of their choice drawing on documentary evidence (literature and secondary sources) and primary sources. The research topic can be associated with the student's work place / prior study / current career / industry or sector etc. To provide details of the project, each student will complete a research proposal which provides brief details the design of the project. This research proposal is submitted to your research advisor who will advise you on the appropriateness or otherwise of the topic choice, research objectives, methodology and proposed literature review. It intended the topic builds directly on the topic area for the Research Paper 1 module.

On completing this module, students should be able to
(i) Select an appropriate business research topic
(ii) Formulate a pertinent research question, and supporting objectives
(iii) Select an appropriate qualitative methodology and research design
(iv) Gather appropriate data, analyse it, and present research findings.
