MATH10130 Introduction to Analysis for Economics and Finance

Academic Year 2023/2024

This module is an introduction to mathematical analysis and differential calculus, with applications to finance. It begins with an introduction to mathematical reasoning and will then cover important concepts from analysis including functions, real numbers, sequences and limits, continuity and differentiability, power series, integration. Topics from finance to be discussed in a mathematical context include interest rates, net present value and elasticity.
