On completing the module, students should be able to 1) critically discuss the relationship between race, racism, ethnicity and immigration; 2) critically analyse issues concerning citizenship, immigration and cultural diversity in Ireland, and beyond, in relation to race and ethnicity; 3) demonstrate knowledge of how policies and discourses in relation to immigration, race and ethnicity affect the well-being and life chances of immigrants and others who are affected by them.
