This module is grounded on key concepts of analytical sociology, with particular focus on network analysis. Social dynamics is defined as the set of potentially heterogeneous individual behaviours and ensuing aggregated collective outcomes. Therefore throughout the semester you are expected to engage in discussions regarding the understanding of influences of both micro (local or individual) and macro (global or collective) dynamics. The lectures will cover the most relevant concepts and research in this area.
