This module will allow for a greater core understanding of Suspected Physical Abuse in paediatrics. The contribution of individual professional groups to the evidential chain will be explored in detail.

Indicative Module Content:

The module will explore suspected physical abuse from a variety of angles. Lectures will be delivered from professionals including clinicians and Gardi.
Types and mechanisms of injury will be studied and the implications of these.
Interdisciplinary responses to Suspected Physical Abuse will be explored as will ways of working.

Approaches to Teaching and Learning:
The material will be delivered by a variety of mechanisms including on line learning and interactive tasks on Brightspace. Additionally on line tutorials will be delivered.
The above will be supplemented by lectures via Zoom.
