Learning Outcomes:

Upon completion of the module students will have a working knowledge of the theoretical basis of atomic physics. Students will also be able to effectively use atomic structure codes, such as the Cowan suite of codes.

Approaches to Teaching and Learning:
The module will be focused on a seminar/workshop style of delivery. Students will participate in discussion on the module content, carry out in-session exercises and do hands-on simulations using for example the Cowan suite of atomic structure codes.
