Approaches to Teaching and Learning:
Throughout the practice placement teaching and learning occurs on the clinical site with face to face patient interactions and inter-professional interactions with Physiotherapists and other members of the multi-disciplinary team. Teaching may occur one to one or in groups. Evidence informed case based discussions, tutorials, peer learning and presentations are often used as methods of teaching and learning.
The Physiotherapy Learning Portfolio provides the opportunity for students to submit written reflection on their placement and the evidence based clinical reasoning form affords students the opportunity to demonstrate their problem-solving approach to clinical decision making through the application of evidence based practice on a specific patient encounter.
