The aim of this module is to provide the student with an understanding of cross-cultural & international perspectives in child health & health care delivery. Students will develop an understanding of the challenges to effective child health care provision in developing countries. Students will gain knowledge in the principles of managing effective community-based programmes in developing countries, or in countries that are resource poor. Following completion of this module, students will be able to: Identify differences in children's morbidity & mortality experiences in different countries; Identify differences within health care systems internationally; Understand & utilise international professional models of practice in child health care delivery; Analyse the contribution of professional international health care organizations.
