PHPS10010 Student Health & Wellbeing

Academic Year 2023/2024

This module will enable students to reflect on some of the issues that affect their own health and wellbeing and that of their family and friends. The module will focus on lifestyle-related behaviours which are at the core of much of the ill health observed in modern society. Students will be encouraged to look at what drives these behaviours and the broader socio-ecological influences that often shape our decisions.

There will be a series of lectures. Students will also work in groups to develop a campus health promotion initiative for students, based on learning in the module, literature search and UCD campus review.
