Feedback Strategy/Strategies

• Feedback individually to students, post-assessment
• Online automated feedback
• Peer review activities
• Self-assessment activities

How will my Feedback be Delivered?

The individual assignment submitted online will be graded with additional annotated comments to help direct the student with future assignments in relation to academic writing and critical discussion of the literature. The student will also be directed to supports if required such as the UCD writing centre or the online library supports. The cooperative learning will involve some peer review activities as students will need to communicate and discuss the tasks before reaching agreed responses and documenting prior to submission. These tasks are designed to build upon and scaffold the student's individual and collective knowledge over the theory weeks in this introductory block. A grade and overall comment will be assigned online to each group. The students will be supported individually and in small groups to prepare for the summative class testnity for the students to practice questions individually and collectively throughout the theory weeks. The summative class test will be submitted directly to the grader who will grade and return individual feedback to students. An in-house face-to-face repeat quiz will be arranged for any repeats required.
