Indicative Learning Outcomes: On completion the candidate will be able to:
• Examine and explain patient safety issues and the structures, processes and guidelines used in the management of patient safety.
• Examine the principles of medication management and complete accurate drug calculations.
• Identify and describe microbiological organisms that cause disease and examine the variety of infectious diseases associated with the body systems.
• Discuss national and international guidelines in relation to infection prevention & control.
• Understand sepsis and the use of the National Early Warning System as an intervention to escalate patient care management
Indicative Module Description:

Two types of feedback will be given on the written assignment. Group feedback will be given to students during the trimester. Using a rubric, individual feedback will also be given with the release of the provisional grade.
