LAW30380 English Land Law

Academic Year 2020/2021

The module provides a critical approach to English Land Law, focussing on ownership, use and development of land.

The module is designed to meet the requirements of the English Solicitor Regulatory Authority (SRA). It should be taken by students intending to qualify as solicitors under the English system, in addition to the core Level 2 modules in Property Law, in order to satisfy the requirements of the Qualifying Degree. From September 2021, due to changes to the qualifying mechanisms of the SRA and the implementation of the Solicitor Qualifying Exam (SQE), it will no longer be necessary to take English Land Law to qualify under the English system.
