LARC40440 Landscape Research 2

Academic Year 2020/2021

The module is taught through individual tutorials and exercises that assist students in advancing research and documentation of a specific issue, in parallel with an ongoing studio module, usually the minor thesis in landscape architecture (Studio 4B). Throughout your professional life you will be expected to communicate ideas to others and this module focuses on thinking, talking and writing about a topic of contemporary interest and research. Individuals continue to investigate a chosen issue through reading, fieldwork, observation and discussion, documenting their approach as it evolves, reflecting on both the process and findings in writing. This module would also be of interest to students that simply wish to further explore a particular subject, or place, and who wish to develop a reflective approach.
