This module encourages students to reflect on the nature of leadership and how good communications can help to navigate the challenges posed by those in a position of responsibility in an organisation. Participants will learn to apply a full range of leadership communications techniques. This model will also equip students to select appropriate leadership-style communications for various situations and to recognise the impact that good communications can have on motivation and performance across an organisation.

Learning Outcomes:

Develop a communications skillset to navigate the organisational challenges facing leaders today

Understand how teams operate and learn how to apply a communications framework to develop high-performing teams

Have knowledge of different organisational cultures and be able to apply appropriate leadership-style communications in a variety of settings

Develop a communications strategy which supports the overall strategy of a given organisation

Demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and arguments in oral and written forms
