Students will be expected to: (1) Understand how theory developed in classes in other modules is applied; (2) develop their understanding of geoscientific methodologies and their ability to apply them in a working environment; (3) understand health and safety issues in a working environment; (4) understand the need for high ethical standards in the practice of geoscience; (5) act independently and manage time effectively; (6) improve their interpersonal occupational skills and competence in teamwork; (7) demonstrate critical reflection on their learning and their activities during placement including identification of any skills gaps.
