Artificial intelligence, automation and 'robots stealing our jobs' are now widely discussed in the media, public discourse and scholarship. This module will examine selected aspects of the digital age from a critical political economy perspective. the module content may include: the European AI strategy, digital capitalism, surveillance, military applications of AI, data sharing, and commercial influences on AI innovation.
