On completion of this module, students should be able to:
Demonstrate the capacity to study independently and to produce an extended piece of written work, practice /performance, or documentation
Demonstrate advanced skills of performance scripting; staging performance; and ability to cast and direct an original work for performance
Demonstrate proposals writing and editing of written component
Demonstrate research and organisation skills, and sustained facility in analysis, expression and argument
Demonstrate appropriate critique of materials in practice and written modes
January: Thesis Proposal are submitted in written form
February: Thesis Proposals Meetings : students present their proposals to staff and colleagues and receive individual feedback
March: Revised thesis proposals submission
April: Preparation production: rehearsals; casting; And further research of theoretical frameworks and theatre precedence
May: Continued rehearsals; meeting with thesis supervisors 1:1; feedback on written work and practical works in rehearsals
June: Full Production Week supported by professional production team and includes technical rehearsal, dress rehearsal, performance. Ongoing writing supervision on Extended Essay
