CSSL40090 Demography Dissertation

Academic Year 2020/2021

This module provides the structure for the successful completion of a minor dissertation. Students will be offered a pathway toward the development, implementation and analysis of a high-quality independent research project. Students will find a coherent and interactive seminar that will allow for the development of a coherent proposal and timeline leading to the successful completion of the cumulative reward for a year of hard work.

Learning Outcomes:

Students will be able to do the following:

(1) Formulate a coherent and feasible research project
(2) Develop, write and revise a research proposal
(3) Identify, acquire and assess viable data for a minor dissertation
(4) Learn from and contribute to group collaboration in a seminar format

How will my Feedback be Delivered?

Students will receive feedback in two forms. First, there will be a reflective oral feedback step after the submission of the minor dissertation proposal. Second, there will be individual written feedback subsequent to the submission of the minor dissertation.
