CSOC30030 Advanced Computational Social Science

Academic Year 2023/2024

This module provides deeper insight into key theoretical and methodological challenges of computational social science through the use of agent-based social simulation. Students will systematically explore key questions and decisions pertaining to the different phases of a simulation life cycle, from conceptualisation to validation of a computational model. Emphasizing hands-on learning, the course enables students to explore existing models and empowers them to craft their own simulations.
