On completion of this course a student may expect to:
-Understand some of the skills and techniques required when beginning to write creatively
-Work on one long piece of creative work or a selection of shorter pieces
-Be able to make connections between the literary texts you study on the programme and the writing you undertake
-Become familiar with some of the basic strategies for reading and talking about others’ writing
-Be able to reflect critically on your own writing practice

Peer reviewing will take place most weeks. Written feedback will be offered on homework assignments. Group feedback on weekly assignments will be given orally each week. A one to one consultation session will be offered in the week after lectures have finished. Feedback comments will be available on final portfolio.
