CHEN40870 GMP Manufact Advan Therapeutic

Academic Year 2023/2024

This module will provide a high level overview of the important principles and considerations for GMP manufacture of advanced therapeutics and detailed examples of their implementation for the design and operation of approved manufacturing facilities. It will develop the students’ knowledge and understanding of industrial scale production of these new and emerging medicines, presenting the current challenges faced and the innovations aimed at overcoming them. A number of industrial experts will deliver the module.

- Understand and describe the considerations and challenges for GMP manufacture of advanced therapeutics
- Discuss the specific application of these considerations to various types of advanced therapeutics
- Understand and describe the strategies used to execute the GMP manufacture of this class of medicines
