BMGT30220 Supply Chain Management

Academic Year 2020/2021

This module aims to provide insights into the processes, practices and current thinking in supply chain management. Supply chain management is the management of all the activities in business networks. This means managing the resources and relationships of not just your own company but also your suppliers and your customers. It is key to competitive advantage and is a very different way of thinking about business. This module will give students skills in managing supply chain issues, critical thinking, and analysing different practices and theory.

Approaches to Teaching and Learning:
This module will be research led as it is essentially imparting knowledge of the subject area to students with no prior knowledge of the subject area. However, the assessments are designed to promote enquiry based learning by the students themselves. The group assignment is designed to encourage students to mix. This module attracts many "study-abroad" students and the group assignment is an excellent way for peer learning.
