"Recent years have witnessed a global trend towards projectification of operations and supply chain management activities; a significant part of activities in variety of sectors, from manufacturing and service companies, to public and not for profit sector organisations and humanitarian work is carried out in the form of projects. This module introduces students to the theory and practice of projects and aims to provide the students knowledge and skills that are relevant for management of projects over their lifecycle. The module focuses on various knowledge areas as well as the related concepts, frameworks, and tools and their application to management of projects in the context of logistics and supply chains.

Learning Outcomes:

After the module the student is able to:
1.Explain the importance of projects in the logistics and SCM context;
2.Explain the key managerial challenges in management of projects in the logistics and SCM context;
3.Identify, critically assess, and apply variety of tools and techniques to understand and address complex practical challenges encountered in management of projects in the logistics and SCM context throughout their lifecycle;
4.Develop communication and teamwork skills through class discussion and group projects.
