BMGT3007S Supply Chain Planning and Control

Academic Year 2021/2022

This module is an introduction to the concepts and problems underlying the planning and control of contemporary supply chains. Emphasis is placed on design, planning and control of service supply chains. The role of decision makers in the supply chain will be considered along with the use of modelling to support such decisions. The module will demonstrate how data can be obtained, extracted and manipulated to enable decision support tools to be used to underpin the management of the supply chain. Topics include capacity planning, production cost analysis, sales and operational planning, MRP I and II, scheduling, process capability and SPC.
