Students will learn how to apply advanced level specialist techniques to the problems being addressed by their research project, as evidenced by results presented in seminars, annual reports and publications. The emphasis is on application of the specialised techniques to the student's research.
Indicative Module Content:This is a generic module that encompasses a range of courses in Advanced Research Techniques in Biology to meet the training needs of graduate students in agreement with their supervisor(s) in the School of Biology and Environmental Science. These advanced level courses are offered by a range of institutes (typically external to UCD) that can offer specialised facilities and/or at industry training centres. The specific courses on offer vary from year to year, depending on the PhD student cohort and their specialist training needs.
