Learning Outcomes:On completion of this module, a participant will be able to:1. Demonstrate a firm understanding of how to facilitate small-group discussions in an undergraduate setting;2. Have a firm grasp of how to design and assess graded components in undergraduate modules;3. Understand the relationship between assessments in undergraduate modules (for example, written essays and examinations) and the learning outcomes associated with them;4. Take responsibility for critiquing and assessing undergraduate work;5. Demonstrate a familiarity with the relevant literature in teaching and learning, especially material that directly relates to the discipline of Architecture;6. Demonstrate an awareness of UCD, College and School policies and procedures that impact on their role as a Teaching Assistant.

Participants should be postgraduates who are in an active teaching role within the UCD School of Architecture. At the discretion of the module coordinator, a student from a different School within UCD may be permitted to enroll.
