ARCT40620 Sustainable Building Analyis Studio

Academic Year 2018/2019

The aim of this module is to support the exploration and development of research enquiry that will form the basis for individual research in the Thesis module (ARCT 40710) in Semester 3. The student will be supported through workshops, seminars and project work with a specific focus on methodology. Workshops will be provided on a range of topics to give students an array of exploratory and investigative skills and techniques.

Learning Outcomes:

On completion of this module the student should be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the applicability of building design, performance and evaluation processes and analysis.
- Demonstrate an ability to utilise laboratory and test resources to explore and assess performance questions.
- Demonstrate the ability to employ building analysis and modelling to resolve design problems.
- Demonstrate the ability to formulate an appropriate approach to identify a research question and apply the appropriate method to resolve the challange.
