It requires students to have experience of a range of sources and seeks to develop a critical appreciation of their contribution to the understanding of historic buildings and urban areas. The main thrust of the course will be to provide a practical introduction to historical sources available to the researcher, structured around a series of visits to a range of repositories, which will familiarise students with the type of material available.
