Following successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
1. Demonstrate a fundamental knowledge of human body systems, how they operate and how they interact
2. Identify features of anatomical structure on diagrams and sectional anatomy
3. Describe how changes occur in human body systems with disease
4. Describe biomedical engineering approaches in the understanding, diagnosis and treatment of major disorders

- Pathology and mechanisms of disease
- Nervous system anatomy and physiology
- Musculoskeletal system anatomy and physiology
- Cardiovascular system anatomy and physiology
- Respiratory system fundamentals
- Urinary system fundamentals
- Endocrine system fundamentals
- Gastrointestinal system fundamentals
- Lymphatics and immunity
- Reproductive system fundamentals
- Special senses: eye and ear
- Applications of imaging, prosthetics and medical devices
