The primary learning outcomes of this module are:
-to introduce students to the the national museums and institutions and their collections
-to encourage research on objects/primary texts in person
-to allow students to develop their academic and professional networks
The content of the module will vary depending on which museums and institutions the class visits, but may include: Irish art; European painting, drawing and sculpture; manuscripts and early printed books; archival materials.

Students will receive continuous feedback during and after museum, library, etc. visits. Students will complete a final self-assessment summary writing assignment; feedback on this assignment will be provided within two weeks of submission.
