On completion of this MODULE students should be able to:
- Understand and apply the basic terminology relevant to a painting.
- Utilise the basic art historical language to describe, analyse & interpret an artwork.
- Demonstrate a knowledge of the main subjects types & their relative histories.
- Possess an understanding of the language of attributes, signs & symbols in art, & identify key figure types, be they religious, historical, classical, mythological or allegorical
